New Features & Updates: Notifications, Email Templates, and More

We’re kicking off 2025 with exciting changes to help you stay on top of what matters most—without cluttering your inbox. 

This month’s release includes new features and updates to existing ones that revolve around how you, and your customers, receive notifications. These new features and updates include: 

  • New User Notification Preferences
  • New In-App Notifications
  • Redesigned Email Templates
  • Updated Brand Preferences 

Now let’s go over these features in more detail. 

User Notification Preferences

Our new user notification preferences allow you to choose which specific notifications you want (e.g., invoice alerts, order updates, news and product releases).

You’ll also be able to pick your preferred channels—email, in-app, or both—for each notification type.

And, opt in or out of general RepSpark news and updates.

With this expanded control over your notification settings, you can stay informed without having your inbox cluttered or missing critical information.

Here’s what else is changing: 

  • You no longer need to specify a user role for each of the notifications you want to send. You’ll be able to configure notifications with a simple toggle.
  • We’ve changed the order submitted notification so it is always sent to users who submit an order and is no longer a setting in the Admin Panel.
  • We've added the ability for users to configure whether they want to be notified if an order has been submitted on their behalf or if a sales rep (or an admin) wants to be notified if an order is submitted for their customers.
  • You’ll still be able to specify emails to send a notification when any order is submitted on RepSpark.

In-App Notifications

In-app notifications are another tool to ensure you don’t miss important information. 

Instead of toggling back and forth between your emails and RepSpark, you’ll see important information right inside RepSpark.

This faster, more direct communication method ensures that you can catch critical updates—like new invoices or abandoned cart reminders—exactly when you need them.

Email Templates

We’ve given all our email templates a fresh look to make them clearer, more engaging, and consistent with your brand identity. Here are some highlights of the revamps to our emails: 

  • Invoice Emails: Including newly created invoices, past due notices, unpaid balances, and payment receipts.
  • Order Emails: Refined templates for order submissions, restock alerts, abandoned cart reminders, and more.
  • Branded Look: Your brand’s logo can be featured at the top, and all layout details have been modernized for a polished customer-facing experience.

Brand Preferences

We’ve enhanced the control you have on our updated Brand Settings page. These enhanced controls allow you to:

  • Configure “store-wide” notifications to automatically send critical updates to your customers and team members.
  • Maintain your brand’s preferred “reply-to” or “from” addresses for order notifications (e.g., orders@yourbrand.com).
  • Ensure mandatory notifications—like invoice-related emails—reach users consistently.

These updates are just the start for us in 2025, however. We’re working on some much bigger changes and improvements to your RepSpark experience, so stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
